Hello, my name is Alicia and I founded Little Cooks in 2007.
I am a keen home cook and having two young children myself provides me with first hand experience of entertaining children in the kitchen.
My passion is that children take an interest in food and healthy eating while having lots of fun! And it’s amazing what children will eat if they have made it themselves!
I believe in using fresh and natural ingredients, high cocoa content chocolate, free range eggs and avoiding the use of hydrogenated vegetables oils and fats whenever possible. Furthermore, all our recipes are checked for nutritional balance by respected paediatric dietician, Naomi Riley (R.D.)
Schooled at Leith's School of Food and Wine I am trained in Food Hygiene and hold a Safer Food, Better Business Certification. We take our responsibility to our classes really seriously and so, in addition, all our teachers are fully trained, CRB checked, insured and have certification in basic first aid and from the local Environmental Office.
